Over the past 18 months or so, many new doors have been opened to me, to do things I previously wasn't able or allowed to do so before. Part of this has been talking to or meeting motorsport personalities, like Murray Walker, Johnny Herbert and several of the ITV F1 reporters.

Well this is what Suzi Perry, the BBC World Superbike commentator has put on her website:-

AN AMAZING GUY

Some great news on Eddie Kidd – Eddie has been doing some car driving on a disused airfield and his friend and mechanic Ron says that he handles it well. Not yet ready for the road but working on it. Eddie and a friend Jason Finn – the trials stunt rider are working on a number of things for the near future and knowing Eddie, if he can do it – he will. He is now so motivated that his main aim is to get walking on his own this year. Good luck mate – go for it.

Eddie now has a website and for all the latest news please check it out by clicking onto http://www.eddiekidd.co.uk/

ANOTHER AMAZING GUY

I have recently been corresponding with a guy called Steve Tarrant who has one of the most positive attitudes to life that I have known. His unique claim to fame is that on 24 June 2000, he survived an accident with a 1968 Lotus F1 car which was travelling at 140 mph. He was marshalling at the time and you may well have read about it in the newspapers. He lost his right leg above the knee, sustained a compound fracture of the left leg together with horrific abdominal injuries. But – if you think that life ended for him then just check out his website to see how he handled the dramatic changes to his life. Only 12 months on, he was marshalling from a wheelchair at WSB Kyalami – amazing.
