My name is Steve
Tarrant.
I'm 43, live in
Poole on the south coast of England, and my unique claim to fame is that on 24th June
2000,
whilst
marshalling at Goodwood, I was struck by a 1968 Lotus F1 car at around 140MPH.
This left me an
amputee, having
lost my right leg above the knee. I also suffered a severe compound fracture
of the
left leg, abdominal and head injuries, and various other scars and scrapes.
