Set in the Wiltshire countryside near Chippenham, Castle Combe is a wonderful circuit. It's the perfect getaway from all the built up grandstands and trappings of a modern GP type circuit.

Grass spectator  banks surround the circuit almost the entire length, and there are a number of interesting spectating points where cars have slipstreamed into corners and are making their moves.

You can park almost anywhere around its perimeter and at several locations, if you're early enough, you can park right up to the fence and see the action from within your car (ideal if you're disabled like me).

The grassy banks are tall enough that you can see nearly half the circuit from many of them, and they form a natural amphitheatre feel to some challenging corners. They can be quite an effort to climb but if you can make it, it's very worth while the effort.
