31st December   Year end, but was not in a fit state to see the new year in! Had contracted a stomach bug, so boiled water was all I could eat and drink for 48 hours. Still, that means my new year can't get any worse than how it started!!!!!!!
25th December   Jackie and I hosted Christmas for both sets of parents, to say "thank you" for all the hard work they had put in over the past two Christmas'. A good time was had by all.
20th December   Had my first gym session since accident. Managed 10 minutes bike riding - felt so good to pedal again on the exercise bike.
3rd December

Receive the award of a level 1 Diamond Web Award, following votes from your all out there. Once again, thank you. Also, the 6000th hit came through yesterday, just 24 days after the 5000th!

23rd November At Twickenham again, for England v South Africa - we won again!!!!!!!!
9th November

At Twickenham for England v New Zealand - we won!

8th November

What can I say? 5000 hits in 8 months, for what just a personal record and website? I had no idea there would ever be this level of interest, honestly. So again, thank you all so much for visiting, and re-visiting, my little piece of this vast network. I hope you can in turn pass on some of the happiness I have received from others as a result of my tragedy, and turned it into something very positive. Thank you all once again XXXXX

5th November

Got my new prosthetic limb. Has many advantages over the old one, so am looking to being able to increase my ability to master things like kneeling and cycling.

13th October

A Tragic day at Thruxton in their final meeting of the year, and Jackie was involved in the attempted rescue . Our condolences  go the family and friends of BMW driver Mark Williams.

25th & 26th September

Visited Daytona International Speedway, the fabled 2.5 mile banked oval circuit. First day spent as tourist, taking the public ride about the venue, seeing the 31 degree banking firsthand. Returned following day, and both of us took the Richard Petty Experience, a passenger ride in a full NASCAR, doing 160MPH down the back straight. Absolutely awesome.

23rd September
NASA

Visited Kennedy Space Centre, Florida. Had followed the Apollo missions since the age of 8, so to see the equipment was mind-blowing, especially the size of the Saturn V rocket. PLUS saw the Atlantis space shuttle on its launch pad, and the crawler unit returning to the Vehicle Assembly Building, at its top speed of 2MPH. It's positively MASSIVE!

16th September

Swam with the dolphins at Discovery Cove. An amazing sensation.

13th to 27th September

Jackie and I had our first holiday since the accident. So went by Virgin Atlantic to Walt Disney World, Florida, for a magical fortnight. Coped very well, as American legislation makes it mandatory for disabled access to be considered for everything. Coach transport no problem as almost all coaches fitted with hydraulic ramps, all Disney sites have ramps and maps which detail access (and type). Thank you America, you helped to make me feel great again.

6th to 8th September

2002 Goodwood Revival Meeting. Was there as "guest" team manager for Ernie Nagamatsu who brought "Old Yeller II" from the USA for this weekend.

3rd September

Since Feb have been in touch with a charitable organisation called the British Motoring Sport Relief Fund. They have now arranged funding for an intensive physiotherapy course. Thank you so much.

2nd September !!!

2500th hit in just 25 weeks. I am now truly astounded by everyone's interest.

25th/26th August

Jackie and I were invited as guests to visit the Brands Hatch round of the Touring car championship, as guest of Team B&Q. Thank you John, and team, for the great weekend. Shame about the results, guys, especially with Hyla putting out more smoke than Terry Grant's stunt Legend car!!!! PS - MG scored double win!!!

2nd to 14th August

Suffered from having leg and skin infections. Took fortnight to get through this.

27/28 July

Attended at World Superbikes, Brands Hatch. Hoping to meet some of my motorcycling heroes. Report

!

This website receives its 500th hit, in just 10.5 weeks!

For something that started as just a therapeutic way of dealing with the events of 24th June 2000, it has developed into something much bigger. Thank you one and all for your interest, sincerely, from the bottom of my heart. © © © © x x x x

6th & 7th April

Visited Pembrey circuit for weekend of truck and car racing. Stayed in B&B in local farm, walked or drove all weekend. Found was exhausted from not using wheelchair but a very warm reception from all the staff and officials of the circuit. Jackie loved flag marshalling on Post 1 (Hatchetts).

24th March

Attended first race meeting of 2002 at Thruxton. Spectated whilst Jackie marshalled at Post 1. Good to be back at the track again with live action, and thanks to everyone for the "friendly" abuse over the car!!!!!!
