Jackie properly diagnosed by rheumatologist not having a vertebrae or ligament problem, one that could have affected her for life, but purely suffering stress and exhaustion. Christmas now feel much sweeter.

Attend Goodwood Road Racing Company function alone, Jackie confined to bed or armchair.

Jackie now starts lengthy period signed off from work. Given incorrect diagnosis of problem, both having difficulty handling situation.

Jackie succumbs to stress and exhaustion.

Get new socket section for leg. Find have lost all energy and "momentum" after 3 months in wheelchair.

15th to 17th Sep 2001

Goodwood Revival Meeting. Am spectator only as hold no active circuit license within UK. Motor Sport Association (MSA) will only allow me trackside or in the Pits once I throw away my sticks and can run unaided.

Jul to Oct 2001

Have problems with new limb, skin keeps splitting. 

Am forced to use wheelchair and not wear leg whilst skin re-grows.

Take delivery of 2nd new leg. Fitted with moving ankle and progressive knee joint.

Marshalled at Kyalami for World Superbikes!!!! Went to spectate, ended up flagging from wheelchair!!!! What a return to the tracks!!!!!!!

Date of Accident at Goodwood. Right leg removed below knee at scene, compound fracture of left leg, rupture of blood supply to lower intestine. Not very clever at all!!!!!
